GECOM Corp. was established in Greensburg, Indiana, near Indianapolis, in 1987. With capital of US$16.5 million and more than 2000 associates, GECOM has grown to become one of Indiana's leading companies and the largest door latch manufacturing base in the United States. GECOM produces one million door latches per month and supplies this output to Chrysler, local production facilities of Japanese automakers and companies in Canada. GECOM has secured a 22% share of the North American market for door latches.

While creating new employment opportunities, GECOM has grown together with and earned the trust of the local community. As one of its key corporate policies, GECOM actively promotes local staff to management positions.
