GECOM Corporation was established in Greensburg, Indiana in 1987 to manufacture high quality door locking mechanisms for the Automotive industry. At GECOM we manufacture Automotive Door Locks, Trunk Locks, Tailgate Locks and Openers, Power Sliding Door Systems, Power Tailgate Systems, Seat Locks, Hinges, Checklinks, Strikers, and Trunk Openers.
Production commenced in October 1987, and have expanded our facilities to include Assembly, Injection Molding, Metal Stamping, among others. We currently employ in excess of 1,000 people.
GECOM Corp. is a subsidiary of Mitsui Kinzoku ACT which is based in Yokohama-shi, Japan and we have sister plants in China, India, Mexico, Japan, Thailand and USA. See our World Wide Mitsui Plants for further information..
Whilst geographically we are working in different areas, our philosophies and quality standards are the same. Globally, our corporate goal for all employees on a world-wide basis is Customer Satisfaction through the consistent achievement of Quality, Cost and Delivery targets. As part of the Mitsui Kinzoku ACT Group we have a Global Sourcing Strategy, but whenever possible we try to source within North America with particular emphasis on localization from Asia to the U.S
